ALAIN LEFÈVRE is proud to be amongst the recordings artists at ANALEKTA, the largest independent classical record company in Canada. Since 2001 ANALEKTA has been a key player, adding to the international success and growth of his discography The dedication and vision of its founder and President, Mario Labbé, gave birth to Alain Lefèvre’s most cherished project, the reviving of the Québec Concerto by the late and forgotten composer and pianist André Mathieu In doing so, he restored the composer’s rightful place in the Canadian Romantic repertoire, when he recorded the piece with the Orchestre Symphonique de Québec under maestro Yoav Talmi. The disc won both a Classical Internet Award in the “Outstanding New Discoveries” category  (Classicstoday.com) and a Félix Award (ADISQ) for Best Classical Album of the Year (Orchestra and large ensemble). Mathieu’s rehabilitation continued with « Hommage à André Mathieu », a CD featuring solo works for piano. Then followedthe Rhapsodie romantique, recorded with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra and guest conductor Matthias Bamert. On top of the charts in Canada when released, BBC Music Magazine hailed Lefèvre’s “greatest passion and excitement” , recommending the CD as “an essential purchase” This CD also won a Felix Award in 2007.
